Your brain, your data.

The short version. We don't track you, show you ads, or sell your information. Your data is stored securely on our servers to enable sync and AI features. You can export or delete everything from Settings at any time.

What this covers. The Sukima iOS app, the Sukima Android app, the Sukima website at sukima.ai, and the Sukima web app. Where any of these handle data differently, the difference is called out below.

Data Storage

Sukima stores your tasks, categories, locations, steps, and preferences on our servers using Cloudflare D1 (an edge SQL database hosted by Cloudflare, Inc.). This allows your data to sync across devices and power server-side features like daily planning. A local copy is also cached on your device for offline access. If you delete your account, all server-side data is removed.

The same backend serves the iOS app, the Android app, and the web app. Your data is the same wherever you sign in.

Account Information

Sukima supports Sign in with Apple and email-based authentication. When you sign in, we store a unique user identifier and your email address. This information is used to verify your identity, manage your subscription, and enable account recovery. Email-based sign-in uses a one-time verification code sent to your inbox.

What We Store

The following data is stored on our servers, linked to your account:

  • User ID and email address
  • Authentication tokens (hashed)
  • Tasks, projects, goals, and ideas you create (including titles, notes, deadlines, and priority)
  • Custom categories and locations
  • App preferences
  • Subscription status and entitlements

AI Processing

When you use Sukima's AI features (task categorization, voice and text capture extraction, Pick suggestions, daily planning), the text of your tasks is sent to our backend service, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This data is processed in real-time and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the immediate API request. Anthropic's data usage policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

Subscription & Payments

Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. We do store your subscription status and entitlement level to manage access to premium features.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

Audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework to convert your voice to text. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio. Only the resulting text is sent to the server when you use AI features.

Analytics & Tracking

The Sukima iOS app does not contain any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers or behavioral information inside the app. We log basic authentication events (sign-in, account creation) for security and support purposes.

Our website (sukima.ai) uses the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. Additionally, our server sends hashed, non-reversible event data (e.g. account creation, subscription purchase) to Meta via the Conversions API for ad measurement and optimization. Only cryptographically hashed email addresses are shared; Meta cannot read the original values. You can opt out of Meta's data use at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data is shared only with the sub-processors listed below, strictly to operate and measure the service. Hashed identifiers are shared with Meta solely for ad performance measurement; this data cannot be used to identify you directly.

Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, it is soft-deleted immediately (access is revoked) and permanently purged within 30 days. You can export all your data from Settings before deleting.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar laws: you can export your data from Settings, permanently delete your account and all data from Settings, request correction or restriction of processing, or object to processing. Contact us at hello@sukima.ai. We respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Sukima is not directed at children. Per our Terms of Service, you must be at least 16 to use Sukima. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has signed up, contact us and we'll remove the account.

How to Leave

Settings > Delete Account. Your access is revoked immediately and all data is permanently purged within 30 days. No forms, no retention department.
